Elements of Successful Underwater Photography

Elements of Successful Underwater Photography was originally Marty Snyderman's Depth Perception Course. At the time it was part of Marty Snyderman's Internet School of Underwater Photography which, when it was created was a state-of-the-art medium for a state-of-the art course. The value that we learned from Marty's original course was because Depth Perception was taught over the internet each class was available to you 24 hours a day as long as you had access to the net. The course was designed so that you moved through it in a logical learning sequence beginning with photographic fundamentals and culminating with advanced wide angle techniques. As a student you were free to take any class at any time you chose. Every class is filled with example photographs that illustrate the techniques that are being discussed. And surely you have heard the expression that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, there are over 1,000 photographs, charts, and diagrams included throughout the course. As we developed TheUnderwaterPhotographer.com we incorporated these aspects into our new courses and we felt it was highly valuable to our readers to offer this original course because it offered the foundation of sound photographic principals to the underwater photographer. The name may be different but the value is the same.

The course consists of nine classes. They are as follows:

1) The Photographic Fundamentals
2) Secrets To Compelling Composition
3) Matching Your Equipment and Your Expectations
4) Problems and Problem Solving in Underwater Photography
5) Macro Magic
6) Creating Powerful Silhouettes
7) Successful Wide Angle Photography
8) How To Photograph Reef Creatures
9) Course Review: Putting It All Together

Each class is interactive and every class, with the exception of the review, has an interactive quiz at the end.  You grade yourself, and then decide whether to move on to the next class or to review the current class.

Each class should take between one and two hours to complete.
